Faith Wilson, tLMHC

Hello! My name is Faithful, and I am currently a t-LMHC at Full Heart Family Therapy. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Iowa before completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University.

I work with children, teens, and adults in individual therapy. My approach is conversational, collaborative, and client-centered, with a focus on creating a supportive space to explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), incorporating practical, solution-focused strategies to help clients navigate stress, emotional overwhelm, and everyday challenges.

I especially enjoy working with children and adolescents as they build emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and healthy communication. I strive to create a welcoming and engaging environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while learning tools to support growth and resilience.

Many of my clients come to therapy during high-stress periods and benefit from processing their experiences while creating realistic, manageable steps toward change. I also frequently work with individuals who suspect they may have ADHD or who have already been diagnosed. I enjoy providing psychoeducation, practical interventions, and coping strategies tailored to each client’s unique daily challenges.

Clients who appreciate a conversational and collaborative approach and are open to learning new skills tend to be a great fit for my style
