Sicily Huemann
Welcome! My name is Sicily Huemann. I am a temporarily Licensed Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and I am excited to be part of the Full Heart Family Therapy team.
I hold Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminology, a certificate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling—all from the University of Northern Iowa.
I have experience working with children and adults of varying ages and stages in life. I currently work with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults, supporting emotional wellness and personal growth through life’s many transitions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with strong influences from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). I also incorporate art and play-based techniques, particularly with younger clients.
I believe that everyone’s mental health journey is unique, and I strive to meet individuals where they are. I aim to create a collaborative, compassionate space built on trust, respect, and authenticity. Whether we are using talk therapy, integrating elements of art and play, or building coping strategies together, my goal is to walk alongside you, helping you face challenges with resilience and align your path with the values that matter most to you.
